Grenoble Alpes Isère Airport
Specializing in the ski market and linked to the Rhône-Alpes highway network, Grenoble airport provides easy access to the largest ski areas in the French Alps and to the economic hub of the Grenoble area.
In 2023, infrastructure expansion and compliance work was carried out in anticipation of the restoration of formalities and border controls linked to Brexit.
As part of the environmental policy initiated by VINCI Airports in 2016, Grenoble Alpes Isère Airport is pursuing its environmental commitments with :
- Obtaining ISO 14001 certification in 2019, renewed in 2023.
- Obtaining level 3 Airport Carbon Accreditation (ACA) by the end of 2022. This ACA 3 achievement is part of the gradual decarbonization of the airport’s activities and rewards several optimizations:
- A policy of energy sobriety: installation of LED lighting in the aircraft parking area, terminals and airport’s passenger parking lots, and switching off the passenger parking lots at night.
- Extension of the electric vehicle fleet to include ramp and operating vehicles.
- Replacement of the chiller system with the latest generation of energy-efficient equipment.
- Preserving biodiversity by signing a partnership agreement with the Ligue de Protection des Oiseaux (LPO) in 2020, thanks to a diversified fauna at the heart of the airport, and the creation of a biodiversity zone (beehives, compost, insect hotel).
