Nantes Atlantique Airport

Member of the VINCI Airports network since 2011 and the leading airport in the Greater West region, Nantes Atlantique airport welcomes some 20 scheduled airlines, and offers nearly 90 direct destinations, as well as connections to the main international hubs, to meet the mobility needs of the region’s residents and businesses. In 2024, the airport welcomed more than 7 million passengers.

In 10 years, Nantes Atlantique has welcomed twice as many destinations (France, Europe, the Mediterranean basin, as well as Canada, the Middle East, Africa and the Caribbean), and twice as many tourists, benefiting the local economy. The airport is also served by twice as many airlines, promoting regional connectivity and the democratization of air transport, and has gone from one to four companies based there, benefiting local jobs.

In 2022, the airport was awarded the S3A label for its efforts to welcome people with physical and mental disabilities. Nantes Atlantique has also obtained ISO 9001 international certification standards for its quality management.

Certified in 2024 as “level 4” of the ACA (Airport Carbon Accreditation) and ISO 14001, Nantes Atlantique airport is developing within its territory by committing to reducing the environmental impact of its activity with the objective in particular to achieve “zero net emissions from its direct activities” by 2030.

ACA Level 4 accreditation involves:

  • The development of a decarbonization strategy specific to the airport to reduce its greenhouse gas emissions (scopes 1 and 2) by at least 90% by 2030 (compared to 2019)
  • The establishment of a partnership plan to encourage third parties to reduce their own emissions such as airlines, ground handlers, businesses, etc. (whose emissions are included in scope 3) in a global decarbonization approach .
